Founder of Sacred Womb Haven
WOMAN. FOUNDER. ADVOCATE
My name is MONICA
Monica Bentley is the founder of Sacred Womb Haven, a maternal health agency built to dismantle barriers in care for Black women and underserved communities.
Her work sits at the intersection of clinical training, holistic practice, and community advocacy creating a model of care that is both medically grounded and culturally aligned.
She founded Sacred Womb Haven with a clear purpose: to ensure that no woman has to navigate pregnancy, birth, or postpartum without consistent, informed, and compassionate support.

WHY SHE BUILT THIS
A Response to Real Gaps in Care
Through her work in maternal health, Monica witnessed a pattern women receiving fragmented care, limited education, and little continuity throughout one of the most critical periods of their lives.
For many, especially Black women, the system was not built with their full experience in mind.
Sacred Womb Haven was created to change that.
This is not just a service it is a structured response to systemic gaps, designed to provide continuous support, informed advocacy, and accessible care at every stage.
Clinical Training. Community-Based Practice.
Monica’s work is backed by over a decade of academic, clinical, and holistic experience.
Her credentials include:
-
Certified Birth Assistant (2024)
-
Current Birth Assistant at the NC Birth Center in Chapel Hill
-
Certified Doula through DONA International
-
Holistic Doula through Ubuntu Birth Collective
-
Bachelor’s degree in Alternative Medicine
-
Student Midwife pursuing Certified Professional Midwife
She also serves as a maternal advocacy consultant and has worked with organizations focused on reducing infant mortality and improving maternal outcomes.
Her approach blends clinical knowledge, hands-on support, and education, ensuring that care is both effective and empowering.
Structured Support. Real Presence.
Working with Monica is intentional and grounded in real-life care not theory.
Clear, direct guidance without confusion
Respect for their choices and lived experiences
Consistent support across pregnancy and postpartum
Advocacy when it matters most
The goal is simple: to ensure that every woman feels prepared, supported, and seen throughout her journey.
